Calling Goff to account

So, despite the suck-ups on Red Alert, it seems the Labour caucus isn't entirely happy with Phil Goff's descent into Brash territory, and will be asking him for an explanation at caucus on Tuesday. Good. Racism has no place on the left, and Goff's unprincipled pandering to it was contrary to the values Labour supposedly stands for. He needs to be hauled back into line fast, before he does permanent damage to the country (not to mention his party and its 2011 coalition chances).

And OTOH, if the caucus backs Goff's strategy, then it really will be a case of collective responsibility, collective guilt, and collective punishment when Labour's (young and liberal) activist base abandons it for a party more in line with their beliefs.
